And, knowing what it's like to be a year-'rounder at a summer resort community, this is a pretty good depiction of island life. Later books in the series expand on Josie, her life, and the lives of her crew and friends.

As a former foreman of an all woman pipefitting crew, I can say this author is *RIGHT ON* when it comes to describing the personalities in her crew. The descriptions of the house and the work being done were outstanding - Josie is my new heroine. I'll "shore" be reading more!
I found the premise of this mystery interesting. Josie Pigeon heads an all woman construction company. She finds a body on a job site and soon after it disappears. Josie is determined to find the body and the killer. She enlists the help of a newcomer to the island. He owns the liquor store, but was formerly a prosecuting attorney. Every one is a suspect, including the construction crew. All of them seem to have a secret!
Josie Pigeon is the surprise owner of an all woman construction company. Why the surprise along with the peculiar behavior and lifestyles of her inherited crew all combine to keep you (and Josie) guessing... Who was murdered? Where did the body go? Why is the good looking, retired prosecuting attorney so helpful? What is sexy Betty thinking working on the roof in her bikini? Looking forward to finding my next Josie Pigeon mystery and learning more about her absent son(author is such a tease). Sounds like an intriguing story too! Fun read.
What a nice surprise... Josie Pigeon is the owner of an all women construction crew who builds/renovates homes in an island community. Josie has a lot on her plate. She must finish construction on an expensive home before her business goes under. She discovers a body in the unfinished home only to have it disappear. Josie enlists the help of a sexy island newcomer and former prosecuting attorney.

We get to know the cast of quirky crew members and a little bit about the handsome newcomer. The author does a nice job of setting up the characters for this series while moving the mystery nicely along. I wish there were a few more suspenseful moments. All in all a great summer read. I will be reading more in this series.
